Jembrana –
The Jembrana General Election Commission (KPU) determined the official results of the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Election votes in the district level recapitulation plenary meeting, Thursday (5/12/2024). Candidate pair (paslon) number 2, I Made Kembang Hartawan and I Gede Ngurah Patriana Krisna (Bang-Ipat), won by a landslide with 106,119 votes or 71.23 percent.
Meanwhile, candidate pair number 1, I Nengah Tamba and Made Suardana (Tamba-Dana), received 65,345 votes or 38.11 percent. Bang-Ipat excelled in all sub-districts in Jembrana, while Tamba-Dana only won in five villages, namely Pengeragoan, Air Kuning, West Loloan, Banyubiru and Kaliakah.
For the Bali gubernatorial election, candidate number 2 Wayan Koster-Giri managed to get 97,402 votes or 57 percent, beating number 1 I Made Muliawan Arya alias De Gadjah-Putu I Agus Suradnyana (Mulia-PAS) who got 72,468 votes or 43 percent.
Chairman of the Jembrana KPU, I Ketut Adi Sanjaya, said that there were several administrative corrections found in the recapitulation process, such as errors in registering voters at several polling stations in Jembrana and Negara subdistricts. However, these errors do not affect the final results.
“We have made corrections and recorded them in a special incident form. This error is purely administrative and has no impact on the vote tally,” said Adi Sanjaya to media crew, Thursday.
The Jembrana KPU also noted that the voter participation rate in the 2024 regional elections only reached 71.26 percent for the gubernatorial election and 71.23 percent for the regional election. This figure is far below the target of 80 percent, even lower than the 77.8 percent achieved in the 2020 Pilkada.
“At the provincial level, the participation target of 75 percent was also not achieved. This is material for our evaluation to find out the factors that cause low voter participation,” added Adi Sanjaya.
After the recapitulation at the district level is complete, the Jembrana KPU will continue the recapitulation at the provincial level for the gubernatorial election. Meanwhile, the Pilbup results have been determined and we are just waiting for the constitutional case registration book from the Constitutional Court (MK).
“If there is no dispute, the final results will be determined within three days,” said Adi Sanjaya.
