Soy products, such as edamame, tofu, or soy milk can prevent the risk of breast cancer.

Because, according to a meta-analysis published in the JNCI Cancer Spectrum journal, soybeans contain isoflavones which have been linked to reducing the risk of breast cancer by up to 26%.

However, a series of studies mentioned by the Times of India say that consuming high amounts of isoflavones can actually increase the risk of developing breast cancer.

Overall, consuming soybeans can actually prevent breast cancer and prevent recurrence, but don’t consume it excessively.

2. Green tea

Green tea lovers can benefit from consuming this nutritious drink. It contains polyphenols which inhibit the growth of breast cancer cells.

According to Mount Sinai, in a study of 472 women with various stages of breast cancer, researchers found that women who drank the most green tea had the least spread of cancer.
