The results of the plenary meeting recapitulating the vote count at the Manggarai General Election Commission (KPU) level, Wednesday (4/12/2024), determined candidate pair (paslon) serial number 2, Heribertus Geradus Laju Nabit-Fabianus Abu (Heri-Fabi), as the winner of the election Regent (Pilbup) Manggarai 2024.
Heri-Fabi eliminated two rivals, candidate pair number 1 Maksi Ngkeros – Ronald Susilo (Maksi-Ronal) and candidate pair number 3 Yohanes Halut-Thomas Dohu (Yohan-Thomas). Heri-Fabi is 19,327 votes ahead of Maksi-Ronal in second place, and 26,670 votes behind Yohan-Thomas.
The determination of Heri-Fabi as the winner of the 2024 Manggarai Pilbup is stated in the Manggarai KPU Decree Number 1383 concerning Determination of the Results of the 2024 Manggarai Regent and Deputy Regent Election.
“Candidate pair number 2 is Heribertus Geradus Laju Nabit-Fabianus Abu with the highest number of valid votes obtained 71,027,” reads the excerpt from the Manggaraii KPU Decree.
Meanwhile, Maksi-Ronal got 51,700 votes, and Yohan-Thomas got 44,357 votes. Heri-Fabi won in 7 of 12 sub-districts in Manggarai. Maksi-Ronal won in 2 sub-districts, and Yohan-Thomas won in three sub-districts where the number of voters was relatively small.
There were 170,144 voters exercising their voting rights in the 2024 Manggarai Pilbup. A total of 167,084 votes were declared valid and 3,060 votes were invalid.
The 2024 Manggarai regional election will be participated by three candidate pairs. The Maksi-Ronal duet was carried by a coalition of three political parties, namely Democrat, PAN and Perindo. Next, Heri-Fabi was promoted by a coalition of four political parties, namely PDIP, Golkar, PKB and PKN. Heri is the incumbent candidate for regent. Furthermore, Yohan-Thomas was supported by a coalition of three political parties, namely Gerindra, Nasdem and Hanura.
