Surabaya (ANTARA) – Candidate for Governor of East Java number 2 Khofifah Indar Parawansa praised the tenacity of the Gandu Miroso Grilled Chicken UKM Bu Hj Mina Suryani Magetan which is located in Gandu Hamlet, Krajan Karangreji Village, Karangrejo District.
“All day we have activities at a number of points in Magetan. It wouldn’t be nice if we didn’t stop by to enjoy typical Magetan culinary delights. So we stopped this afternoon at Hj Mina Suryani’s Gandu Roso Grilled Chicken stall,” said Khofifah in a statement in Surabaya, Monday.
Khofifah admitted that she had visited Gandu Grilled Chicken Center Village before, but because she was in Magetan, she stopped by again to taste the delicious spices.
“Which make miss is that the seasoning uses medok jangkep spices. This feels addictive. “Moreover, combined with ointment, there is lodeh as well as chili sauce and fresh vegetables,” he said.
What makes it special is that the Gandu roasted chicken dish still uses traditional cooking methods, namely using a wood-burning stove, making the spices even more pervasive and delicious.
“Those who go to Magetan must stop by this village. “Guaranteed to make you addicted and want to come back to enjoy this Gandu roasted free-range chicken,” he said.
Grilled chicken buyers here come from various regions, not only East Java but also from Central Java. The roasted free-range chicken is also quite affordable, selling for IDR 70 thousand to IDR 150 thousand.
During her visit, Khofifah even took the time to see the process of making roast free-range chicken in the kitchen. There a steaming furnace burns hundreds of chickens every day.
“So, throughout Gandu Village, many residents have opened grilled chicken stalls. “So this is the village center for Gandu roast chicken,” he said.
Meanwhile, this shop owned by Hj Mina Suryani has been established since 1988. He originally opened this business by traveling around on a two-wheeled bicycle. As the market expanded, he finally opened his own shop until now it has become large and is able to sell 100 to 200 chickens a day.
“Hopefully it will become a business that continues to grow. Moreover, he said earlier that he had started marketing online. This is very creative and inspiring. “Hopefully the culinary business in East Java will continue to develop,” he said.
On the other hand, Hj Mina Suryani emphasized that he was very happy that Khofifah visited his shop. As a Muslim congregation, he was very happy to be able to meet and immediately serve Khofifah his grilled chicken dish.
“Thank God, currently there are 25 employees here. “Our neighbors who used to be agricultural laborers, or who are still unemployed, come to work with us. We are grateful that we can help create employment opportunities,” said Mina.
