The surface of the kastengel is yellow thanks to the egg yolk smear. If you only have very small eggs at home, add 1/2 egg white and two drops of dark yellow coloring to the spread mixture.

Material:
- 2 egg yolks
- 300 grams margarine
- 4 tablespoons powdered milk full cream
- 200 grams of cheese cheddar (grate, let sit until dry)
- 2 sachets Chicken flavored stock powder
- 550 grams of medium protein wheat flour
- 2 egg yolks for brushing
- 50 grams of cheese cheddar for sprinkling
How to make kastengel
- Mix egg yolks, margarine, milk powder, cheese and stock powder, then beat until smooth. Add the flour, then stir until smooth using a wooden spoon.
- Take the dough, place it on a flat surface or table. Press the dough until it is 0.7 centimeters (cm) thick, then shape it into a rectangle.
- Coat the top of the dough with egg yolk, then sprinkle with cheese cheddar scar. Cut the dough into pieces measuring 1 cm x 3 cm.
- Arrange the dough pieces on a baking sheet, place in the oven. Bake at 130 degrees Celsius until the color is dark yellow.
- Remove from the oven, allow to cool before placing in a jar.
