Loading Cafe provides a game master to guide and explain the concept of the game you will choose.

One of the game masters at Loading Cafe, Muhammad Zhafran Zulkifli, said that this cafe has a concept to provide an experience for visitors who want to spend time with friends playing games without using gadgets.

“So what we are actually offering is that let’s stop by the Loading Cafe, we guarantee you won’t be playing on your cellphone all day because there are lots of board games here,” said Zhafran when met detikBali at Loading Cafe, Denpasar, Sunday (1/12/2024).

Zhafran said that most of those who played games at the cafe were students, office workers and school children.

Zhafran and the cafe owner got board games from their collection and bought them abroad.

“There are those who buy original, there are also those who buy preloved, but again, we choose those that are still in good condition. We buy the ones packaging-“It’s still good,” explained the man who is also a barista.

The cafe, which has been operating since June 2024, plans to add various other types of games. “Because of the enthusiasm of those who play this board game, they always ask whether this board game is available or not, that is our recommendation,” continued Zhafran.

If you want to try playing here, you will be charged IDR 15 thousand per hour and per person. However, if you want to spend the whole day, you will be charged a different rate. Namely, around IDR 50 thousand per person.

“I’m enthusiastic about sharing it per day, previously we had an analysis that Monday to Thursday lots of people were hanging out, working, meeting, but if it was Friday, Saturday, Sunday, especially afternoon and evening, they would definitely be playing,” he explained.

Not only providing board games, Loading Cafe of course has a variety of food and drink menus. The price ranges from IDR 25 thousand-40 thousand.

One of the visitors who seemed to be having fun playing was I Putu Yonata. He is trying out the board game Spy Alley. According to him, the game was fun. So, while you’re in the cafe, you won’t have time to fiddle with your device.

“And I want a board game that we rarely see and each board game has a different story, that’s fresh,” said Yona.

He was interested in trying other games that he had never heard of. Yona also feels that the rates at Loading Cafe are commensurate with the experience gained. Moreover, there are lots of new games.

“The first time I came here, I was told by a friend-share It also looks interesting via Instagram,” he said.

The plan is that Yona will come here again to invite more of her friends to try other board games.
