IMF Boss, Sri Mulyani and Agus Marto Enjoy Typical Indonesian Coffee in the US



Washington DC – The IMF-World Bank Spring Meeting which was held in Washington DC, United States (US) this week was enlivened by various exhibitions of Indonesian products ranging from batik cloth to coffee. In between the series of events which will take place from 16 to 22 April 2018, IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde took the time to see the exhibition.

Accompanied by Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati and Governor of Bank Indonesia (BI) Agus Martowardojo, Lagarde enjoyed typical Indonesian coffee. The coffee offered actually varies every day. Especially today, the coffee served is Sidikalang coffee.

While joking, Lagarde seemed to be enjoying the coffee served. With white glasses, occasionally Lagarde and Sri Mulyani sipped the coffee in their hands.

The government and BI have indeed taken the opportunity to promote Indonesia. In the exhibition booth, which was decorated with Balinese nuances, various typical Indonesian products were displayed, especially batik-patterned clothing.

The colorful batik cloth offered starting at US$ 40, successfully attracted the interest of visitors who were dominated by delegates and representatives of the countries participating in the Spring Meeting this time.

“We are looking forward to holding the IMF-World Bank annual meeting in Bali, next October. This will be an interesting momentum because Indonesia is a country that not only has a good economy, but also has beautiful places,” said Lagarde while inviting participants attending the Spring Meeting. this time to also take part in the Annual Meeting in Bali next October 2018.
On this occasion, the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs, Luhut Binsar Panjaitan, was also present.
