Making beef rendang is actually quite easy and can be cooked using a rice cooker.
To make beef rendang, you only need approximately 1 hour.

- 500 grams of beef shank
- 3 cm galangal, bruised
- 3 stalks of lemongrass, take the white, bruise
- 1 turmeric leaf, tied in a knot
- 5 lime leaves, remove the leaf bones
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 pieces deaf
- 2 cm cinnamon
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 3 teaspoons brown sugar
- 60 grams coconut serundeng, puree
- 600 ml thick coconut milk from 2 coconuts
- 1500 ml liquid coconut milk
