KOMPAS.com – Looking for an easy Christmas snack to make? You can make it poffertjes. This typical Dutch food at first glance looks like a mini pancake thanks to its round shape and not being too thick.

Recipe poffertjes

Material:

  • 250 grams of medium protein wheat flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 60 grams of powdered sugar
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 375 milliliters of liquid milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cake pudding (baking powder)
  • 1 tablespoon margarine (melted)
  • Enough margarine for spreading
  • 75 grams of powdered sugar for sprinkling

How to make poffertjes

  1. Add the wheat flour to a container while sifting, add the instant yeast and powdered sugar. Mix and stir until smooth. Shut up.
  2. Combine eggs and liquid milk, stir until smooth. Slowly pour it little by little into the flour, sugar and yeast mixture. Stir well, then let sit for about 30 minutes.
  3. Add salt, baking powderand melted margarine. Stir again until smooth.
  4. Prepare the mold poffertjes To heat, coat with margarine first. Pour in the mixture, then leave it until half cooked.
  5. Cover it poffertjes which is already cooked to a mixture that is half cooked, let it sit until cooked, then remove from heat. Coat in margarine, then serve with powdered sugar.
