KOMPAS.com – PT Eka Bogainti’s HCM Senior Manager (Hokben), Farukil Ulum, emphasized that all food and beverage menus in Hokben had received a Halal MUI certificate.
“As of September 2007, Hokben has received MUI halal certification. It has been around 18 years until now,” Farukil said at the Bento Ramadhan Hokben press conference in Tangerang, Thursday (6/5/2025).
Hokben also pocketed accreditation of the halal management system in 2009 and until now has a halal guarantee system certificate.

Farukil said, halal certification is not only seen from food ingredients, but menu development to products sold in restaurants.
Although the MUI halal certificate in Hokben has been running a dozen years, Farukil guarantees that the halals of all beverage and food menus in Hokben are still halal.

“One of our strengths is all the materials to be purchased, produced, or sold, must go through an application system,” Farukil said.
Senior Manager at PT Eka Bogainti (Hokben), Farukil Ulum, stressed that all food and beverage menus in Hokben have received a Halal MUI certificate.Each product name and its composition are regulated in the Hokben application system which can only be accessed by the goods code by certain people.
Before the item code is entered into the application system, must have a halal coordinator signature. In this case, Farukil plays the role of the halal coordinator in Hokben.
“I interact with LPPOM if there are questions about the halal product, so we guarantee the products that are presented or sold to Hokben customers must have been halal certified,” he concluded.

For information, Hokben was first present in Jakarta on April 18, 1985, under the management of PT Eka Bogainti, as a Japanese -style fast food restaurant in Indonesia.
As an original Indonesian brand, Hokben began its journey from outlets in Kebon Kacang Jakarta and developed to have 394 outlets in Java, Bali, Nusa Tenggara, Sumatra, Kalimantan and Sulawesi as of February 28, 2025.
