TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA – Polda Metro Jaya distributed 11 tons of ready-to-eat processed sacrificial meat by cooking it into rendang on Eid al-Adha 1443 Hijriah.

The distribution of processed sacrificial meat dishes was also supported by the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno.

Through the 2022 Barokah Sacrifice program, Polda Metro Jaya distributes processed sacrificial meat by collaborating with Ready to Move Volunteers for easy distribution to the community.

“We, SiapBermobil volunteers, feel grateful that in 2022, the Metro Jaya Regional Police Chief is collaborating with SiapBermobil volunteers, as a team that together with members of the police will distribute 11 tonnes of processed rendang meat to the residents of DKI Jakarta, for 3 days on 11-13 July 2022, ” said Head of the Ready to Move Volunteer Program Devie Rahmawati at Polda Metro Jaya, Jakarta, Sunday (10/7/2022).

In the distribution process, this activity began with a cow slaughtering activity at the Al Kausar Polda Metro Jaya Mosque and it was immediately cooked by volunteers in collaboration with a cook from Makciak, a Minang culinary MSME.

The rendang cooking activity was carried out symbolically by the Metro Jaya Regional Police Chief and the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy together with MSME actors.

Devie explained that as a digital platform, SiapBermobil has been moving since the Covid-19 pandemic hit. By managing more than 60 thousand volunteers in the Merdeka Vaccination program throughout 2021.

“Specifically for the Barokah Sacrifice program, we need 100 volunteers, however, registrants reached more than 500 potential volunteers. During the last pandemic, 4,500 volunteers were needed, the number of registrants reached 20 thousand within 3 days,” said Devi.

Meanwhile, Head of the 2022 Baraqah Qurban Post Volunteer Section, Commissioner Supriyanto, explained that Polda Metro Jaya has continued this tradition since 2021. The sacrificial meat is made into rendang with the aim of ensuring that on this glorious day, all residents can experience the same happiness.

“We are also targeting residents with special needs, such as people with disabilities, as well as families of prisoners, for example. This distribution is carried out in 13 police stations within the jurisdiction of Polda Metro Jaya,” said Supriyanto.

Police Commissioner Supriyanto explained that the history of the Baraqah Sacrifice program began with the Regional Police Chief’s efforts to help Padang food MSMEs affected by the pandemic, by providing orders to cook sacrificial meat for DKI residents.

Involve 18 Minang culinary MSMEs

In this year’s Eid al-Adha, SiapBermobil volunteers also involved 18 Padang food MSMEs throughout DKI Jakarta to jointly prepare rendang.

This activity is a continuation of Polda Metro Jaya’s social programs, such as Kampung Tangguh Jaya and Vaccination Merdeka. This program is presented to empower residents so that they are resilient through the pandemic, such as distributing seeds, training for MSMEs, business assistance and so on.

The SiapBermobil Program Advisor, Vandika Anwari, also said the same thing. Vandi ensures that this distribution channel will be effective and carried out evenly so that the processed sacrificial meat reaches the people who need it.

“SiapBermobil is here to ensure that the implementation of humanitarian activities can run efficiently in terms of costs with transparent accountability,” said Vandi.

“Reflecting on the Merdeka Vaccination program, it is evident that vaccination costs Rp. 1,000 – 10,000 per person (cost per shoot), compared to other programs which can cost up to Rp. 100,000 – 170,000,” explained Vandi.

In its implementation, this activity was made possible thanks to the support of digital technology from PT Telkom Indonesia. So that the entire process, from recruitment, implementation of activities, reporting to incentive payments, can be monitored in real time, anytime and anywhere, cashless and can be audited openly.

“This is our effort to support the Polda Metro Jaya Police 4.0 program as advocated by the Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Fadil Imran,” he concluded.
