Apart from being a cooking ingredient, starfruit is also known to have many health benefits, especially if consumed in the form of boiled water.

Here are some of the benefits of boiled starfruit water which can help overcome various diseases:

1. Relieve joint pain due to rheumatism

Rheumatism is an autoimmune disease that causes inflammation and pain in the joints. One of the main benefits of starfruit boiled water is to relieve rheumatic symptoms.

This is because starfruit contains anti-inflammatory compounds that are effective in reducing inflammation and pain in the joints. Regular consumption of starfruit boiled water can help reduce discomfort caused by rheumatism.

2. Help treat diabetes

Boiled starfruit water can also help lower blood sugar levels, which is beneficial for diabetes sufferers.

According to research from the PIM Health Polytechnic, ethanol extract of starfruit leaves can reduce blood glucose levels after 14 days of use.

The way to use it is quite simple, namely by boiling six crushed starfruit in a glass of water, then drinking the boiled water twice a day.
