AS concluding the series of Halal Fair events this year, WPCitra will hold a large exhibition at ICE BSD, Tangerang, for three days, starting from 6 to 8 December 2024. This event will present more than 150 exhibitors from various business sectors, including fashion, halal culinary, Umrah and Hajj travel, multi-products and merchandise.
Not just retail, this time the Halal Fair will also be in conjunction with the Halal Indonesia International Trade Show (HIITS) as a vehicle for halal MSME business networking to the global market. A number of countries such as Egypt, Malaysia, Uzbekistan and Tunisia are ready to become partners for collaboration and promotion of national halal business actors.
“As a form of our commitment to encouraging the progress of the halal product business and increasing sharia economic literacy, the Halal Fair that we have been holding since 2019 always presents something new to answer the dynamic needs of society. “In accordance with the Never Stop In Halal Ways mission, Halal Fair is ready to be part of the solution to make Indonesia the world’s halal center,” said WPCitra Project Director, Satrio Sukur at the Technical Meeting in Jakarta, Monday (25/11/2024).
This Halal Fair event, continued Satrio Sukur, is a form of full support for the Prabowo-Gibran government for the sustainability of the sharia and halal economic program as a source of new economic growth as outlined in the National Long Term Development Plan (RPJPN) 2025-2045. In the RPJPN, the sharia economic and financial development agenda is written explicitly which is formulated in parallel in the 2024-2029 sharia economic master plan.
Sharia economics as a system is believed to be able to become a pillar that strengthens national economic resilience. Through this policy framework and roadmap, the government provides the widest possible opportunities for the community to participate in economic and development activities.
“The challenge for us halal business entrepreneurs is how to internalize the moral and rational values of sharia economics and halal product businesses, so that they are inclusive and universal in accordance with the principles of rahmatan lil’alamin. “Through Halal Fair–The Most Inspiring Halal Event, we hope to be a vehicle for promoting and marketing halal products and halal lifestyles as well as strengthening the sharia economic ecosystem in the country,” said Satrio Sukur.
