Green tea contains polyphenols as antioxidants which are good for brain health. One type is epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG).
Coleen Wysocki, owner of Zest Nutrition reviewed a systematic review and meta-analysis showing that polyphenols may support long-term brain working and memory, especially in middle-aged adults.
Maggie Moon, a nutritionist also said that the flavonoid content in green tea helps new brain cells grow, keeps current brain cells healthy, and helps increase blood flow to the brain which maintains a person’s emotional regulation center.
Apart from being good for the brain, the content of L-theanine as a natural amino acid in green tea can improve mood and exhibit anti-depressant and anti-anxiety properties.
However, this research is still an indication for green tea. If you have other health problems, it is better to immediately consult a medical expert.

Green tea and honey also have other benefits, from improving skin health, increasing immunity, to managing diabetes.
You can also consume green tea cold. To make it tastier and more nutritious, you can add mint leaves. This combination is also good for treating digestive disorders, such as gas, bloating and gastrointestinal disorders.
