Goat Tongseng Recipe Without Coconut Milk
Material
cooking oil
2 bay leaves
2 stalks lemongrass, bruised
2 cm galangal, bruised
400 g goat meat, cut into 2 cm cubes
6 cloves garlic, sliced
8 red onions, sliced
1 tsp ground pepper
2 tbsp sweet soy sauce
1 tsp granulated sugar
1½ tsp salt
750 ml water
600 ml liquid milk
150 g cabbage, coarsely sliced
5 red bird’s eye chilies
1 tomato, sliced
1 tbsp fried onions, for sprinkling
1 spring onion, finely sliced
Ground spices:
10 red onions
6 cloves of garlic
4 red chilies
4 candlenuts
2 tsp coriander powder
½ tsp ground pepper
½ tsp cumin
2 cm turmeric
2 cm ginger
1 tsp salt
How to make
1. Heat oil in a pan. Saute ground spices, bay leaves, lemongrass and galangal until fragrant. Add the goat meat, stir until the meat changes color.
2. Add garlic, shallots, pepper, soy sauce, sugar and salt. stir well.
3. Pour in water and milk, bucket until it boils. Cook until the liquid has reduced slightly and the meat is tender.
4. Add cabbage, cayenne pepper and tomatoes. Cook until the cabbage is half cooked. lift.
5. Serve the tongseng sprinkled with fried onions and green onions.
