Gingernuts Biscuit Recipe, Cake Dish for Christmas


KOMPAS.com – Christmas is approaching, prepare dishes for relatives who visit your house.

You can make gingernuts biscuits made from low protein flour, baking soda, ground ginger, unsalted butter, granulated sugar, honey and maple syrup.

Gingernuts biscuits are baked for 10 to 15 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius. Check out how to make gingernuts biscuits below.

  • 125 grams of low protein flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tbsp ground ginger
  • 60 grams unsalted butter, cut into cubes
  • 75 grams of brown granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp honey

How to make gingernut biscuits:

1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius gas 4. Line a baking sheet with baking paper.

2. Sift flour, baking soda and ground ginger into a bowl.

3. Add the butter pieces to the dry mixture. With a knife pastry, press the butter and dry mixture until it becomes like bread flour.

4. Pour honey and maple syrup. With a mixer with a dough hook, stir the dough until it is a little firm.

Once smooth, shape into balls weighing 25 grams. Press a little so that it is flat, do the same thing until the dough is finished.

Bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Remove and let sit on a cooling rack until cool.

5. Cake can be stored in an airtight box for up to 7 days.
