The car was parked at the same time as the Nusantara Chinatown Culinary Festival which sparked polemic because it served non-halal food. “Mas Gibran’s car will be on standby during the Chinatown Archipelago event at Solo Paragon Mall from this morning at 10.00 until the end of the event on July 7 2024,” said Solo Paragon Mall Marketing Communication, Veronica Lahji, some time ago.
Veronica did not explain the specific purpose of parking the official car in front of the festival, but she believes that the people of Solo City already understand the purpose of this action. “The real goal is that the people of Solo City already know. Usually, Mas Gibran’s car is standing by for what purpose,” he said.
On Monday (8/7/2024), Gibran confirmed that the polemic regarding the holding of the Non-Halal Culinary Festival at the Solo Paragon Mall, which took place from Thursday to Sunday (4-7/7/2024), had been resolved. “It’s settled, everyone is happy,” he said when interviewed by journalists after attending the Plenary Meeting at the Solo DPRD Building.
Gibran has a history of leaving his official car in various locations as a form of direct attention and handling of existing problems. Previously, he had left his car at the Gajahan Village Office after receiving a report about illegal levies. Apart from that, he also left his car at Cemoro Kembar TPU, Pasar Kliwon District, after the grave destruction incident.
Not only that, President Joko Widodo’s son also twice left his official car at schools in violation of PPKM rules during the Covid-19 pandemic. This action proved effective, because conditions in these locations which were initially not conducive changed for the better.
