Garlic Butter Baked Potatoes Recipe, A Special Dish for Christmas Eve

Garlic Butter Baked Potatoes Ingredients:

  • 1.5 kilograms ketang (peeled and thinly sliced)
  • 2 onions (thinly sliced)
  • 6 cloves garlic (thinly sliced)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons fresh thyme leaves
  • 435 milliliters liquid stock
  • 50 grams butter (chopped)
  • 40 grams finely grated parmesan

How to make garlic butter baked potatoes:

1. Preheat the oven to 200/180 degrees Celsius with a fan, meanwhile grease a 20×30 centimeter baking tin with oil.

2. Arrange 1/4 of the potato slices on a baking sheet, then sprinkle 1/3 of the onion slices, garlic and thyme leaves on top. Then repeat similar steps until the potatoes form into three layers.

3. Meanwhile, mix the stock and butter in a small saucepan, then bring to a boil over high heat. Pour the broth over the potatoes that have been arranged in the baking dish, then cover the baking dish aluminum foil.

4. Bake the potatoes in the oven for 30 minutes, then remove the cover and sprinkle with parmesan. Bake the potatoes again in the oven for 40 minutes or until the tops of the potatoes are golden.

5. Remove the potatoes from the oven and let them rest for 10 minutes before serving.
