Fusion Steak Using Korean Kimchi from a Restaurant in South Jakarta, This is the Taste


JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The flavors of Australia, Korea and Japan are mixed together in Justus Steakhouse Asthana Kemang’s newest menu, namely Chicken and Hamburg Rice.

This complete menu for IDR 120,000 is included in the category new dining experienceone of a number of new menus at the Justus Steakhouse Asthana Kemang branch, South Jakarta, which opens January 1 2025.

Kompas.com had the opportunity to try various Justus Steakhouse Asthana Kemang menus on Tuesday (7/1/2025).

Chicken and Hamburg Rice consists of beef patty Australia, boneless chicken cooked with Korean barbecue sauce, Korean kimci, and wakame typical Japanese.

It doesn’t take much effort to cut this roast beef. Just use a fork, the meat will easily come apart from the whole part.

The taste tends to be savory, the same as chicken covered in Korean barbecue sauce. However, I found more sweetness in the chicken pieces.

When eaten with kimchi, these two pieces of meat taste more refreshing, because kimchi has a sour taste.

Don’t forget the kimci mustard greens which taste crunchy, just like wakame. It is just, wakame tastes crispier and sweeter.

A combination of savory meat, sour kimci, and sweet wakame, accompanied by a bowl of fluffy Japanese rice in one menu.

The rice portion itself is quite large. So, Chicken and Hamburg Rice is really filling for one person. Just need to order a glass of drink as a complement.
