KOMPAS.com – Tarlets (tarts) is often compared to pie (pies). In fact, these two cakes are different.
Pies generally large, cut into pieces before eating. Meanwhile, tarts small-sized or often called mini-pies.
However, in Indonesia, tartlets more commonly referred to as pie. The fillings are varied, one of which is vla and fruit.

Recipe fruit pie
Material A:
- 160 g butter
- 25 grams of water
- 75 gr corn flour or cornstarch
- 170 gr flour
- 2 eggs
Material B:
- 50 gr butter
- 170 gr water
- 200 gr sugar
- 4 egg yolks
- 2 glasses of orange juice
- 75 grams of cornstarch
Material toppings (summary):
- Strawberries to taste (wash and cut into pieces)
- Kiwi to taste (wash and cut into pieces)
- Canned oranges to taste
How to make fruit pie
1. Mix ingredients A until they can be crushed smoothly and evenly. Shape with a small pie mold and make holes using a fork. Bake until brown.
2. Add fresh fruit pieces to the top of the pie crust mixture.
3. Make vla by cooking orange juice, sugar and butter in ingredient B until it boils. Separately, mix the egg yolk and cornstarch, stir, then mix with the boiled orange juice.
4. Pour the pie mixture over the fruit pieces. Let it set for a moment. Serve the fruit pie immediately.
