Material
- ¼ kg young mango, finely shaved
- ½ kg pineapple, peeled and roughly chopped
- ¼ kg kedondong, peeled and roughly chopped
- ¼ kg jicama, peeled and roughly chopped
- ¼ kg cucumber, peeled and roughly chopped
- 200 gr seedless red grapes, cleaned
- 4 green apples, cleaned, peeled and coarsely shaved
Spice
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 3 pieces of cayenne pepper or according to taste
- 50 gr granulated sugar
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- ½ tbsp vinegar
- ½ tbsp garlic
How to Make Rujak Gobed
- Arrange the pieces of fruit in a large container in order to make it look attractive.
- Blend the garlic, chili and vinegar until smooth. Add brown sugar and lemon juice, simmer over medium heat until the sauce becomes thick.
- Pour the sauce over the fruit, stir gently until smooth. Leave in the refrigerator for 1 hour to absorb the flavors. Serve cold for a fresher taste.
