JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – It went viral in Japan because of its unique shape, a restaurant meth–meth Kuma-Chan Onsen finally opens in Jakarta for the first time.
Kuma-Chan Onsen serves typical Japanese soup dishes, shabu-shabuwith bear-shaped sauce.

“Our mascot is a bear. We hope it can bring smiles to the people and customers at Kuma-Chan Onsen,” said Operational Manager of Kuma-Chan Onsen, Nathasia Theno at the official opening of Kuma-Chan Onsen, Friday (13/12/2024).
Literally, name Kuma means bear and onsen refers to hot springs in Japan.
Bears soaking in hot water can be found at this restaurant, when ordering the menu shabu-shabu any variant.
There are five variants of sauce shabu-shabu at Kuma-Chan Onsen with different colored bears and sauces, namely kombu, mala, tomyum, collagen, And mushrooms.

“The concept is meth–meth bear shaped. “So, the sauce will be in the shape of a bear made from natural agar, which is good for health and digestion,” said Nathasia.
Meanwhile, the main set menu options consist of personal and sharing priced from IDR 148,000 to IDR 468,000.
Type of meat shabu-shabu that you can choose are: Premium Wagyu Beef, Special Wagyu Beef, Regular US Prime, Tori (chicken), and Mix (mixed meat).

Side dishes in the form of Chicken Karaage And Gyoza Can also be ordered to complete a meal at Kuma-Chan Onsen.

Nathasia said that the Kuma-Chan Onsen menu in Japan and Indonesia is not exactly the same.

“The menu is the same and different. We adapt it to consumers in Indonesia, both taste and others,” he said.
Kuma-Chan Onsen is located on Floor 1 Lippo Mall Puri, Kembangan, West Jakarta, and is open every day at 10.00 WIB-22.00 WIB.
Nathasia said that two to three Kuma-Chan Onsen restaurants are planned to be opened in stages next year.
