Soy Sauce has been used for more than 2000 years ago to give a delicious and umami taste to Japanese cuisine. But a doctor named David J. Carlberg revealed the side effects of different Soy Sauce.
David said there were several cases of emergency patients who came because they were caused by Soy Sauce. One example in 2013, a 19 -year -old man led to a coma after consuming Soy Sauce.
This is also explained because of the high salt content in soy sauce. One tablespoon of soy sauce is said to contain up to 900 milligrams of salt which is very dangerous for the body.

“He (the patient) did not respond to whatever stimulation was given to him. He experienced an abnormal response reflex. His nerve center at that time really worked badly,” said Dr. David.
David said that excessive salt consumption can indeed cause hypernatremia. This condition occurs due to the body trying too hard to balance blood and water content.
If not treated immediately, this condition will cause fatal complications to threaten the patient’s life. It even took three days until the patient was aware but had not returned to normal.
Dr. David said that the safe limit for salt consumption is 0.75 grams per kilogram of body weight or the average adult can only consume 7.5 tablespoons of salt per day. While one package of soy sauce cups alone can contain 14 grams of salt.
