Enjoy the Blessings of Sacrificial Meat in Kediri

Liputan6.com, Kediri – The celebration of the holiday of sacrifice is a blessing for traders of traditional satay grilling equipment. In the last few days, a number of sellers of satay grilling equipment in Kediri City admitted that they had been flooded with shipments of satay skewers, charcoal firewood and satay grills.

Yus, a satai burning equipment trader, said that the number of people in demand is high, especially for charcoal wood and satai skewers. Yus displays his wares at the traditional market in Bandar Village, Mojoroto District, Kediri City. He admitted that he was enjoying the sweet blessings of the sacrificial meat.

“Yes, now demand has increased by 20 percent. On normal days I usually sell 1 to 2 quintals of charcoal, now it’s more than 2 quintals. The average increase is 20 percent,” said Yus, Wednesday, August 22 2018.

Yus said that despite high demand, the price of satai grilling equipment was relatively stable. One bunch of satai skewers is sold for IDR 3,500, charcoal wood for IDR 4,000, and the cheapest grill stand is IDR 10 thousand, and the most expensive is IDR 20 thousand with better quality.

“Prices still remain normal as on normal days,” he said.

Yus continued, most of those who bought the satay grilling equipment came from the general public, retail traders and Islamic boarding schools.

“For Islamic boarding schools, they usually order well before Eid al-Adha, but for ordinary residents, that’s when they gather with their families,” he said.

Yus revealed that satai skewers are usually supplied from the Trenggalek area. Yus admitted that he had been running his business for 18 years.

“Charcoal firewood from Bojonegoro, as well as grills obtained in the Tulunganggung area,” Yus concluded.
