The moment of Eid al -Fitr or Eid is generally a place to gather with family or close relatives while eating a variety of typical foods, such as vegetable diamonds to opor and rendang.

Usually, many are ‘crazy’ when consuming this typical Eid menu, after having to hold hunger and thirst for one month of Ramadan.

Well, for those of you who like to eat a typical Eid menu that is synonymous with coconut milk and oil sauce, you need to pay attention to the portion of the dish to be eaten.

Of course the thing to remember is to fulfill balanced nutrition in one of your dinner plates.

Do not let the disease appear after Eid, because ‘too delicious’ consuming food without being limited to portions.

Moreover, Eid this time is the second time to coincide with the Corona virus pandemic (Covid-19), a body that is less fit and the appearance of disease can make your body easily exposed to this virus.

“So indeed we have a panduaan in Indonesia, the name is ‘contents of my Pypungku’. It can be used at the moment at any time, want to fit Ramadan, whether or not Ramadan, want to fit Eid or other big events,” Wahyu said, in a virtual talk show with Tribunnews, Tuesday (11/5/2021).

He then explained that the ‘contents of my pyrom’ guide emphasized the proper scales and proportions between groups of food ingredients to be consumed.

“Yes, so if we eat one plate divided in half, next to it contains staple food with side dishes, then next to it contains vegetables and fruit. So you can say vegetables and fruit occupy about half a plate, then half the staple food and side dishes,” Wahyu explained.

For the proportion of staple food, the amount of the field must be more than the side dishes.

“It will be applied later, if Eid maybe the staple food is ketupat, whether it’s rice cake, whether it’s free -range (rice porridge), yes maybe some continue to consume rice,” Wahyu said.

Well, what needs to be considered when consuming the typical Eid menu is the vegetables.

He realized that the rhombus, rice cake or bures served as staple food during holidays are usually served with a alloy of coconut milk, not clear vegetables.

The use of coconut milk on vegetables, he said, must be a concern so as not to be consumed excessively.

“The vegetables, because of the rhombus, rice cake, the free -range is usually the opponent is a vegetable that is different, rarely the clear vegetables, well this needs to be a concern,” Wahyu said.

According to him, there are also many people who have the perception that coconut milk is not a healthy menu.

But he stressed that he could consume coconut milk during Eid, but it was advisable to further increase the consumption of vegetables compared to the coconut milk soup.

“The vegetables are okay, the coconut milk is okay, we begin to change the paradigm that ‘this is unhealthy food’, more neutral, just how we manage it, it needs to be monitored or limited by consumption,” Wahyu said.

Wahyu then said that in the ‘contents of my PIRING’ and balanced nutrition in general, there is indeed a suggestion to limit the consumption of sugar, salt and fat.

“Fat is included in it coconut milk, so when we consume diamonds with coconut milk, whatever the title of the vegetables, then more vegetables are tried than the coconut soup,” Wahyu said.

Furthermore, a mandatory menu for the proportion of healthy food is fruit.

During the moment of Eid, said Wahyu, many did not pay attention to the importance of fruit intake for the body.

Because generally at this moment, many prefer to consume a variety of cakes and cookies.

“Now the next needs to be added fruit, this is often lost because it is usually complementary when Eid is ketupat, coconut milk vegetables, cakes, either cakes with various types. Yes, the cake is not wrong, but it would be better then eating diamonds there are vegetables, there are fruit,” Wahyu said.

As for the side dishes, Indonesian people tend to make rendang, opor and stews as a typical Eid dish.

The thing to remember is when inserting rendang and opor into a plate, plus coconut milk vegetables, of course the number of coconut milk consumed will increase.

Therefore, he also suggested that consumption of opor sauce, vegetable sauce or rendang seasoning to be reduced.

“Then the side dishes are free, want to rendang okay, want opor chicken please, but remember if there is an opor there is more coconut milk there, the sauce is limited. Not too much, the important thing is wet in the diamond, so it is easier to chew and swallowed,” concluded Wahyu.
