“If you are a sensitive person, you should eat first before drinking coffee,” said Mikael when met by the media at Omakafe, Tuesday (26/11/2024).

“You can eat bananas or if you need lots of carbohydrates, eat rice as usual first,” he added.

If you don’t have time to eat a full meal before drinking coffee or following omakase coffee, you can consume herbal drinks.

“There are many herbal drinks that can help coat the stomach before drinking coffee,” suggests Mikael.

Meanwhile, for people who are used to consuming coffee before eating, it can be adjusted to suit their individual health conditions.

As a barista, Mikael stated that he cannot determine the maximum daily coffee consumption capacity for everyone.

“The (coffee drinking) limit is equivalent to the 47-49 glasses of espresso that a human can tolerate, but that doesn’t mean you have to drink that much coffee every day,” he concluded.
