Through his YouTube channel, Dr Zaidul Akbar often shares tips for healthy living through diet. Of course, this diet follows the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad SAW whose benefits can be proven scientifically.
According to him, it is easy to start following a healthy diet. He explained that the human body has actually been equipped with the ability to repair itself by Allah SWT.

You can follow a healthy diet by fasting. He gave the example of Rasulullah SAW sleeping after Isha time. Then sahur at 04.00 and breaking the fast at 18.00.
“Let’s say 1 hour from Maghrib to Isha, then that’s used for eating. Then after Isha, go back to sleep, wake up for evening and morning prayers,” said Dr. Zaidul Akbar.
A healthy diet can also be done without fasting, namely by adjusting the time you eat so you don’t overdo it. “Just following the Shari’a and the instructions of the Prophet Muhammad is the most correct,” he said.
To prove this, Dr. Zaidul Akbar challenged him to avoid several types of food for a week. That way, the body will feel the healthy effects.
Here are the 5 types of food:
1. Rice

Rice is often associated with weight gain due to its carbohydrate content if consumed in excess. Therefore, Dr Zaidul Akbar challenged us to avoid eating rice.
Furthermore, Dr. Zaidul Akbar explained that eating too much rice can affect glucose metabolism and insulin production. This is what causes the risk of developing diabetes.
As a substitute for avoiding rice, you can consume carbohydrates from other types of food such as sweet potatoes and potatoes. “I get dizzy from not eating rice, it could just be a suggestion,” he said.
