One variation of fried rice that attracts attention in Malang is krengsengan fried rice. What is unique about krengsengan fried rice is the way it is served, which has sparked a heated debate among its connoisseurs: whether it is better to stir or separate.

Reported from the TikTok account @ayudeag, krengsengan fried rice is known for its strong taste and abundant krengsengan meat.

Before eating, it is recommended to stir this fried rice so that the spices and krengseng are mixed evenly. However, for those who prefer to enjoy the spices and rice separately, that option is also available.

Nasi Goreng Krengsengan Samden, which is located on Jalan Kepundung, Bareng, Klojen District, Malang City, is the place where this unique culinary delight can be found.

Established in 2000, this street stall not only serves krengsengan fried rice, but also Javanese godhog noodles, chicken krengsengan rice and Javanese fried noodles.

Krengsengan itself is a dish made from pieces of goat, beef or chicken cooked with various spices, giving it a rich and appetizing taste.
