Dr. Poonam Desai via her TikTok account @doctoranddancer shares steps to prevent disease.
In a TikTok clip, he revealed, “I’m a doctor and here are five things I didn’t do, or no longer do, for my health.”
According to his explanation, he does not drink alcohol because there is no amount of alcohol that is safe for health.
The second action he didn’t take was buying Tupperware. According to him, plastic food containers, especially when heated, can release endocrine disrupting substances. These endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) can mimic, block, or interfere with the body’s hormones.
He also avoids routine flights at night because they can harm his health.
Lastly, Dr. Desai claims that he avoids consuming caffeine after 12 noon. According to him, caffeine has a shelf life of five to six hours and can still remain in the body’s system before bedtime. So, drinking coffee after 12 noon can prevent someone from sleeping or at least make them sleep less soundly.
Research published in the Journal of Science Translational Medicine also revealed that drinking a double espresso three hours before bed will turn back the body clock by almost an hour.
2. Another reason not to drink coffee during the day

The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) warns against consuming caffeine drinks, such as tea and coffee, one hour before or after eating. The reason is because excessive caffeine can stimulate the nervous system and cause physiological dependence, reports healhshots.com (27/05/2024).
Tea, coffee, or other caffeinated drinks also contain tannins, compounds that can bind iron to the stomach. So, avoiding drinking this drink before and after eating can give the body the opportunity to absorb iron better.
