Pickled Milkfish Recipe
Material
- 1 milkfish, clean and fry
- ½ young cucumber, remove the contents, thinly sliced
- 3 star fruit vegetables, cut obliquely
- 5 red chilies, cut obliquely
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp sweet soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oil for frying
Ground spices
- 5 red onions
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 2 candlenuts
- 2 cm turmeric
- 150 ml water
How to Make Pickled Milkfish
- Heat oil in a frying pan, then saute the ground spices until fragrant.
- Add the cucumber, red chili and starfruit, then stir until wilted and fragrant.
- Add brown sugar and sweet soy sauce, then pour in the water. Let the spices boil and mix well.
- Add the fried milkfish, stir gently until the fish is well coated in spices. Cook briefly until all the spices are absorbed.
- Remove and serve sprinkled with fried onions if you like.
