Daily Chocolate Eating Suggestions from Chocolatier, Choose This Type of Chocolate


KOMPAS.com – Chocolate lovers must know the type of chocolate they consume. Even though it tastes delicious, chocolate can increase blood sugar levels if you consume it incorrectly.

Richie Pratadaja, owner of Criollo by Crio at the same time master chocolatier, suggests eating types of chocolate with low sugar content.

“If you want to eat it often, every day, you can choose dark chocolate with a content above 70 percent,” said Richie in a media meeting at Criollo Plaza Indonesia, Tuesday (3/12/2024).

Dark chocolate 70 percent means the chocolate contains 70 percent of the cocoa beans, plus the remaining 30 percent of other ingredients.

“The other 30 percent could be sugar, emulsifier, vanilla, or something like that,” he added.

If you choose this type of chocolate, you can enjoy the sweet and bitter taste of chocolate without having to worry about increasing blood sugar.

However, pay attention to the amount of daily chocolate consumption so that it remains within reasonable limits, not excessive.

Because, Richie said that other types of chocolate, such as milk chocolate And white chocolate, has a higher sugar content.

He said chocolate has the benefit of warming the body, so it is often a favorite drink in cold countries.
