Jakarta, Kompas.com – Cut Meutia Mosque in Central Jakarta distributed 500 to 1,000 free takjil per day for the community during the fasting month.
The head of the Ramadhan Committee of the Cut Meutia Mosque, Navis, said that this free takjil will be distributed in front of the mosque near the Gondangdia Station.

“The distribution is in front of the Cut Meutia Mosque, we can get this takjil from donors, the administrators of the Cut Meutia Mosque, and sponsors. God willing, it will be continued until the last day of Ramadan,” Navis told Kompas.comMonday (3/3/2025).
The system, said Navis, before breaking the fast, the mosque visitors will be distributed dates to cancel the fast. After that, heavy food will be distributed in front of the mosque after the evening prayer.

The heavy food menu that was distributed was varied, one of which was Katsu Chicken Rice. The menu every day will be different, adjusting to what is given by donors.
“The beginning of Ramadan was not too crowded, at most around 500-600 rice boxes. Usually the third or fourth day of Ramadan has started, there are 1,000 (rice boxes),” he said.
The atmosphere of breaking the fast at the Cut Meutia Mosque, Central Jakarta, Monday (3/3/2025). Navis said, the number of takjil and heavy food distributed on weekdays, namely Monday to Friday, more than weekends. Because, many workers take the train at Gondangdia Station.
“People want to go to Gondangdia Station usually come here first ride prayers, usually we are more on Weekdays“said Navis.
Meanwhile, on weekends, the number of takjil and heavy food distributed ranges from 500 to 600 boxes.

If there is excess food, said Navis, it will usually be given to the Orphan Foundation and the grass market area.
According to monitoring Kompas.com At the location on Monday (3/3/2025), around 17:30 WIB a number of visitors began to arrive. Some sat on the terrace of the mosque, bought some takjil around the mosque, and some decided to take ablution and wait for the time to break the fast in the mosque.

Generally, visitors who come to the Cut Meutia Mosque are workers and local residents. Not only adults and elderly, the mosque area is also filled by children who come with their parents.
After the evening prayer, around 18:45 WIB, the mosque’s congregation appeared to come out and eat rice boxes in the mosque area given by officers.
There was no queue in front of the mosque, but most of the visitors already held rice boxes.
