TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA – Eid al-Fitr is a celebration of the day that marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

The day when Muslims around the world celebrate their victory after a full month of fasting.

It is a day full of peace and joy, people gather in mosques to perform Eid prayers, visit relatives, enjoy delicious typical dishes and contribute to charitable causes.

Eid al-Fitr is a popular social tradition for Muslims, usually there will be a custom of distributing cash to children by their parents and older relatives in a family.

This money is considered a reward because the children successfully completed one month of fasting in the month of Ramadan.

So at this moment, there are also many typical Eid dishes served.

This typical dish is different in each country, here are a series of culinary dishes that are often served at Eid celebrations in various countries.


1. Maamul

This bread is similar to injera, a leavened Ethiopian white bread made from teff flour and similar in texture to a crepe, but has different spices added to it.
