KOMPAS.com – New Year is not complete without grilling meat, fish and various other proteins with the family. Don’t forget to prepare accompanying sauces, one of which is black pepper sauce.
Black pepper sauce is not only suitable for pouring on steakbut also served with shrimp, crab and fish.
The following is a recipe and method for making black pepper sauce that you can try at home, quoted from the book “Sambal & Sauce Recipe Collection” by Budi Sutomo (2014) published by PT Kawan Pustaka.

Material:
- 4 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon starch (dissolve in a little water)
- 3 cloves garlic (chopped)
- 50 grams of onions (chopped)
- 1 teaspoon black pepper (coarsely ground)
- 3 tablespoons cooking oil
- 150 milliliters of water
- 1 teaspoon instant stock powder chicken flavor or beef flavor
- 1/2 teaspoon fine salt
- Pour oil into a frying pan to heat, add onion and garlic. Cook until aromatic.
- Add water, oyster sauce, starch solution, black pepper, stock powder and salt. Cook and stir again until thickened. Remove, serve with other side dishes.
