Too much sodium consumption is associated with increased high blood pressure and an increased risk of heart disease and stroke. You can still consume it, but limit the amount.

2. Makes Irritable Bowel Disease Worse

If you are one of the 15% of people in the world who suffer from irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), teriyaki sauce can worsen the disease. This gastrointestinal condition can be triggered by the consumption of fermentable oligosaccharides, disaccharides, monosaccharides and polyols in the diet.
