The 2024 Bangli regent and deputy regent (Pilbup) election is certain to be won by the incumbent candidate. The recapitulation results show that pair number two, Sang Nyoman Sedana Artha-I Wayan Diar is ahead with 91,257 votes.
The plenary meeting to recapitulate the vote count for the 2024 Bangli Regional Election was held on Thursday (5/12/2024). As a result, the PDIP champions in both the Bangli regional election and the Bali gubernatorial election were both superior in Bangli.
“We will convey the results of the recapitulation to the Bali KPU. For the Bangli Pilbup, candidate number two is ahead. Likewise for the Bali gubernatorial election,” said Bangli KPU Chairman I Putu Adiawan after the plenary meeting.
Based on the results of the recapitulation of vote tallies at the district level, the pair Wayan Koster-I Nyoman Giri Prasta overthrew their rivals, the duo Made Muliawan Arya-Putu Agus Suradnyana (Mulia-PAS) with 112,125 votes. Meanwhile, De Gadjah and PAS only got 37,298 votes.
Meanwhile, for the Bangli Regional Election, the incumbent pair, namely Sedana Arta-Wayan Diar, is certain to continue their second term leading Bangli. Their votes reached 91,257, overtaking the pair Raden Cahyo Adhi Nugroho Martosubroto-I Gusti Winuntara with 8,411 votes.
Sedana Arta-Wayan Diar also defeated his former subordinate, former Bangli Regional Secretary Ida Bagus Gede Giri Putra, who performed a duet with the younger brother of the former Bangli Regent of the I Made Gianyar era, namely I Made Subrata. Giri Putra and Subrata only got 48,073 votes.
Adiawan emphasized that the determination of the elected candidate could only be carried out after it was confirmed that there was no dispute over the election results at the Constitutional Court (MK). They are also waiting for further information from the KPU.
