KOMPAS.com – If you travel to the Badui area in Kanekes Village, Lebak Regency, Banten, try the typical durian. This durian became a tourist attraction during the 2024 Christmas and 2025 New Year (Nataru) holidays.
One of the tourists who hunts for Bedouin durian is Wiwin Sulastri. He deliberately visited the village to enjoy durian with his family.

“The New Year holidays here also happen to be durian season, so as well as culinary delights, the taste is also delicious. As for durian, it depends on the place, there are some that are delicious and not if they are delicious in Bedouin, there is also meat,” said Wiwin, quoted from BetweenTuesday (7/1/2025).
Wiwin believes that the taste and texture of Badui durian is quite distinctive. The flesh is fragrant, and the taste is sweet and sticky on the tongue.

One of the Bedouin durian sellers, Jamal, said that he can sell 150 of these thorny buds every day.
“Many sell up to 150 pieces per day, especially at the beginning of the year when it’s really busy,” said Jamal.
The price of Bedouin durian varies depending on size. Some start from IDR 100,000 for three pieces, others start from IDR 50,000 per piece.

Jamal has 75 durian trees in his garden. These trees are bearing fruit and are in the process of being harvested
“The durian season in Badui will continue until February because now the harvest is still in progress,” said Jamal.
