One of the Palembang residents named Susan admitted that he was furious with Willie Salim’s actions and planned to hold a counter -counter at Benteng Kuto Besak (BKB) on Thursday (3/27/2025).

“So the name of the activity will be Recovery Social Rendang, which will be held at BKB. “For the intense itself, contributed 300 kg of meat to be cooked rendang and will be divided to the community,” he said.

The event committee targeted 1000 kg of meat to be used as rendang in BKB.
“This is a form of Wong Palembang’s efforts, which moves to restore the good name of Palembang City which was damaged by the rendang content,” he said.
He added that the organizer event in the symbol was ready to succeed the event and promised not to riot like the content of Willie Salim.
“We are not looking for a stage, just want the good name of Palembang that is already recovered. Because suddenly someone came a handful of people to damage the good name of the city of Palembang,” he said.
