Acehnese Laksa and Noodles Enter the List of 100 Most Delicious Noodle Dishes in the World 2024


KOMPAS.com – Acehnese laksa and noodles are on the list of the 100 most delicious noodle dishes in the world in 2024 (100 Best Noodle Dishes in the World) according to the online travel and food guide page, Taste Atlas on Sunday (15/12/2024).

Laksa is ranked 28th along with Malaysia and Singapore, while Mi Aceh is in 64th place.

“Having the character of a spicy and rich broth, this noodle soup dish is a classic dish in many countries in Southeast Asia,” reads the statement from the official Taste Atlas page, reported Monday (16/12/2024).

The development of laksa, the information on the page continues, was influenced by different culinary traditions. As a result, the taste and ingredients of laksa differ from one country to another.

The two famous types of laksa are tamarind-based acid laksa, and curry laksa Which creamy.

Laksa is also said to be popular in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. Generally, this dish is sold at street food centers as a main dish.

Next is Acehnese noodles. This spicy dish consists of fried Aceh noodles and Aceh noodles in soup.

“Apart from thick yellow noodles, this food usually consists of beef, mutton, or processed seafood, as well as vegetables, such as spring onions, garlic, bean sprouts, cabbage and tomatoes,” reads the description from the Taste Atlas page.

Acehnese noodles are also rich in spices which include chilies, shallots, garlic, cardamom and cumin.

Generally, Aceh noodles are served with a sprinkling of fried shallots, cucumber and crackers. You can also find it in stalls or restaurants.

Meanwhile, ranking first in the list of the 100 most delicious noodle dishes in the world 2024 is ramen from Japan, followed by biang biang noodless from China in second place, and khao soi from Thailand in third place.
