Shayne Pattynama attended a meeting to discuss his naturalization.
In this meeting, Shayne Pattynama’s naturalization application was finally approved by the Indonesian DPR.

However, there were interesting things that were presented before the Indonesian DPR approved Shayne Pattynama’s naturalization application.
Deputy Chair of Commission X DPR RI, Hetifah Sjaifudian, asked Shayne Pattynama about typical Indonesian food.
As previously reported by Tribunnews.com, Shayne Pattynama also admitted that he likes chicken soup and rendang.
Apart from that, he is also interested in trying Pak Rano Karno’s nasi uduk.
“I like chicken soup and I also like rendang.”
“However, I like Indonesian food.”
“Yes, maybe later I will also try Pak Rano Karno’s uduk rice,” said Shayne at the DPR RI Commission X Working Meeting with the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Can speak Indonesian
Apart from food, apparently he also knows and can speak Indonesian.
Even though he is not yet fluent, he admits that he can say simple words in Indonesian.
“My family speaks Indonesian every day, and I’m used to it.”
“But, sometimes there are some words I don’t understand, especially those my father says.”
“I only know a few words, good morning, happy new year, happy eating, simple words like that.”
“But I’m ready to learn more Indonesian,” said the Dutch-born player.

Want to take the Indonesian national team to the World Cup
After the naturalization process was completed, Shayne was determined to take the Indonesian national team to the World Cup.
“I am a big dreamer, so I will start a new project in my football career.”
“I want to contribute to this team (Indonesian national team) becoming stronger, becoming a better national team.”
“My hope is of course that the Indonesian national team can appear in the World Cup and Asian Cup in June next year.”
“I am a big dreamer, so I want to take Indonesia to the World Cup,” concluded Shayne.
