Jakarta –
A study found that drinking coffee regularly can reduce the risk of death caused by sitting too long. This is what researchers say!
Sitting can rest the body for a moment. However, if you sit for too long it can actually increase the risk of death. This is something that office employees must be aware of.
This risk occurs because sitting in a sitting position for too long can slow down the body’s metabolic processes. Blood flow slows down so that muscles cannot burn calories.
However, the risk of death from sitting too long can be reduced by drinking coffee. This has been proven through a study at Soochow University in China.

A study of more than 10,000 people in the United States found that those who drink coffee every day may be protected from the negative impacts of sitting for more than 6 hours a day.
Compared with those who don’t drink coffee and sit too much, coffee drinkers who don’t sit a lot are 1.58 times less likely to die.
Researchers found that participants who sat more than 8 hours a day had a 46% higher risk of death from all causes.
Also the risk of dying from cardiovascular disease reached 79% compared to those who sat for less than four hours per day.
2. Research objectives
Researchers at Soochow University said that this study was the first to evaluate the benefits of coffee in reducing the risk of death from prolonged sitting.
Researchers found that drinking coffee essentially eliminated the link between sedentary lifestyle, cardiovascular death, and other causes of premature death.
The findings were made by analyzing nationally representative long-term health data in the United States.
This proves that exercise alone may not completely protect against the long-term negative health effects of sitting too long.
