Recipe for Es Teler with Sago Pearls, suitable to drink in the hot heat


KOMPAS.com – When the sun feels hot, drinking a refreshing iced drink can be a solution to quench your thirst. You can adjust the ingredients according to your taste if you make it yourself at home.

Usually, es teler is topped with pieces of avocado, then added with other ingredients, including young coconut, jackfruit, syrup, sweetened condensed milk, coconut milk and ice cubes.

One variant of es jazzed that can be made is es jazzed with sago pearls. The following is the recipe, quoted from Delicious DishTuesday (22/10/2024).

Material:

  • 3 avocados (scrape the flesh)
  • 15 jackfruit (diced)
  • 50 gr pearl sago (boiled with red coloring)
  • 150 ml sweet white thick
  • 750 gr shaved ice

Sugar syrup ingredients:

  • 300 ml granulated sugar
  • 300 ml water
  • 1 pandan leaf

Coconut milk sauce ingredients:

  • 400 ml coconut milk from 1/2 coconut
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  1. Coconut milk sauce. Add coconut milk and salt to the pan, cook and stir until it boils. Remove from stove, let cool.
  2. Molasses. Add granulated sugar, water and pandan leaves to the pan. Boil and cook until the sugar dissolves. Remove from stove, let cool.
  3. Put the avocado, jackfruit, young coconut and sago pearls into a serving glass. Pour in coconut milk, sugar water, shaved ice and white sweetened condensed milk. Serve while cold.
