3 Practical Chicken Satay Recipes, Easy to Practice at Home

Usually, chicken satay is served with lontong as an accompaniment. You can also add fried onions to add flavor. This food is also suitable to be served with chili sauce for spicy lovers.

Chicken satay is also very easy to make, especially since the ingredients needed to make this dish are not difficult to find. The following is a practical chicken satay recipe that is easy to practice at home, summarized from Cookpad on Wednesday, September 13 2023.

Madura Chicken Satay

This recipe created by user @shy_kitchen requires the following ingredients:

1 kilo gram chicken fillet, cut into cubes

1 teaspoon salt

2 tbsp sweet soy sauce

Lemon or lime juice

To taste, skewer the satay

Peanut sauce ingredients

300 gr roasted peanuts

6 cloves of garlic

8 red onion cloves

4 red chilies

500 ml water

3 lime leaves

Salt to taste

Sugar to taste

100 ml sweet soy sauce

Complementary materials

Lontong

Sweet soy sauce

Fried onions

Lime

Chilli sauce

Manufacturing Steps

  1. Cut the meat into cubes, add salt, orange juice and sweet soy sauce. Marinate for 1 hour in the refrigerator. Then, skewer with satay sticks until all the meat is gone.
  2. Blend all the peanut sauce, except soy sauce and lime leaves. Add the soy sauce, water and lime leaves and cook in a little water until the oil releases.
  3. Grill chicken satay that has been smeared with peanut sauce and soy sauce, grill it back and forth until cooked.
  4. Serve chicken satay and lontong, peanut sauce, sweet soy sauce and lime.
