Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams of meat, cut into large pieces along the grain
  • 2 cm ginger, crushed
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 1 liter of water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 500 ml oil for frying

Seasoning Ingredients:

  • 5 lime leaves, bones removed
  • 1 turmeric leaf, roughly chopped
  • 100 grams red onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 stalks lemongrass, crushed
  • 2 pieces of kandis acid
  • 1 liter of coconut milk from 1 coconut

Ground Seasoning Ingredients:

  • 2 cm turmeric
  • 6 pieces of garlic
  • 2 cm galangal
  • 2 curly red chilies
  • 3 large red chilies, seeds removed
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Manufacturing Steps

  1. Prepare meat, bay leaves, ginger and salt. Boil until cooked.

  2. Remove the meat, then shred it lengthwise and in large pieces.

  3. Prepare oil. Heat over medium heat.

  4. Add the meat and fry briefly.

  5. Prepare rendang ingredients, ground spices, half of the sliced ​​red onion and coconut milk. Boil until oily.

  6. Add the remaining sliced ​​shallots and shredded beef. Stir until the spices are absorbed and dry.
