One of the favorite foods for breaking the fast is fried food because it tastes tasty and easy to cook.

But behind its deliciousness, consuming fried foods when breaking or dawn is not recommended because it can have a negative impact on health.

The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) suggests to avoid fried food during fasting because it is classified as unhealthy food.

Excessive fried food consumption can cause indigestion, abdominal pain, bloating, decreased energy, to weight gain.

Here are three main reasons why fried foods should be avoided at dawn and breaking the fast:

1. Fried food contains high calories

Fried foods include high -calorie foods because they are cooked with lots of oil. This process increases the number of calories contained in these foods.

For example, one portion of roasted potatoes contains about 93 calories and 0 grams of fat, whereas if fried, the calories increase to 319 calories with 17 grams of fat.

Excessive high -calorie food consumption can cause weight gain and increase the risk of obesity.

2. Fried food contains dangerous trans fat

Fried foods are cooked at very high temperatures using processed oil, which can trigger trans fat formation.

Trans fat is known to increase the risk of various serious diseases such as coronary heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and obesity.

Therefore, reducing fried consumption can help maintain heart health and metabolism during fasting.

3. Fried food contains toxic acrylamide

Acrylamide is a toxic substance that is formed in food cooked at high temperatures, such as fried foods or roasted foods.

4. Make weakness during fasting

Fried foods contain high sodium and carbohydrates. Eating fried foods every day can reduce energy which can make the body weak when fasting.

Avoiding fried food during dawn and breaking the fast is highly recommended to maintain a healthy body.
