Duet Edistasius Endi-Yulianus Weng (Edi-Weng) defeated Christo Mario Y Pranda-Richardus Tata Sontani (Mario-Richard) in Tarung Head to Head Election of Regent-Deputy Regent (Pilbup) of West Manggarai 2024. Edi Endi asked Mario-Richard not to break Asa after swallowing defeat in the West Manggarai Pilbup.
Edi Endi said Mario-Richard’s struggle to realize his dream was not over. There are still five years in the next five years for the young duet to realize the dream of becoming a Regent of West Manggarai Regent.
“For my two adinda, Mario and Richard, have not finished the struggle, there are still five years in the next five years to realize dreams that have not been realized. Don’t be discouraged quickly because young people are the future generation,” Edi Endi said in Labuan Bajo on Thursday (Thursday ( 6/2/2025) night.

This was conveyed by Edi Endi in his speech after the West Manggarai KPU set himself and Weng as a pair of regents and deputy regents of West Manggarai Regency for 2025-2030 at the Open Plenary Meeting of the West Manggarai KPU.
Edi also asked the supporting party and the winning team to the supporters of Mario-Richard not to be discouraged to respond to defeat in the contestation of the West Manggarai Pilbup 2024. Edi Endi also asked them not to blame each other.
“Likewise, all political parties and colleagues who joined in Mario-Richard, don’t despair, don’t be blamed,” said Edi Endi.
He said the difference between the political choices of West Manggarai Pilbup 2024 had been completed. It’s time to embrace each other. Edi Endi invited Mario-Richard and his supporters to build West Manggarai.
“Let’s make the best contribution to this district. Collaborate and work together for the welfare of the people of West Manggarai. There are no 01 and 02, which are 00, namely West Manggarai,” said Edi Endi.
It is known that the West Manggarai Regency KPU established Edi-Weng as the candidate pair of regents and deputy regents of West Manggarai elected for 2025-2030. The decision was that after the Constitutional Court (MK) rejected the dispute over the dispute over the results of the General Election (PHPU) of West Manggarai Regency submitted by Mario-Richard.
The Constitutional Court’s decision was read on Wednesday (5/2/2025) night. The request was rejected because Mario-Richard passed the grace period of submission of PHPU dispute requests.
