The moment Fabio Quartararo protests that fried rice is claimed to come from Malaysia: It’s from Indonesia, right?


Suara.com – Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP racer, Fabio Quartararo, received praise from Indonesian netizens when protesting claims that fried rice came from Malaysia.

This was said by Fabio Quartararo during an interview session. This moment started when the French racer was asked about his favorite Malaysian food.

When he heard this question, Quartararo took a breath. Instead he turned to ask the questioner. “Do you have any suggestions? “I don’t really know the names,” answered Fabio Quartararo.

The interviewer finally proposed fried rice to Fabio Quartararo. He said, “Fried rice is one of the classic foods in Malaysia.”

However, surprisingly, Quartararo protested this claim. “But it (fried rice) comes from Indonesia, right?” said Quartararo responding to the interviewer’s suggestion.

After that, the interviewer explained that fried rice is not only popular in Indonesia, but also in Malaysia. Quartararo said he didn’t know this and didn’t want to make a mistake.

“What I know is the name is mango sticky rice. However, I didn’t know that fried rice also exists in Malaysia. “I don’t want to say it wrong,” said the racer who became MotoGP world champion in 2021.
