According to Kimbong, one of the family members of the legendary basket cake producer in Tangerang, Mrs. Lauw, a basket cake specifically intended for offerings, is round and arranged in tiers.

“This one (cake basket arranged in tiers), was specifically ordered for offering, not for us to eat,” said Kimbong when Kompas.com met him in the Dodol & Cake Basket production kitchen, Mrs.

Lauw, in Tangerang, Banten, Friday (17/1/2025).

He continued, the number of tiers of basket cake for this offering is usually odd, starting from three tiers, five tiers, and seven tiers.
