The 2024 Tjap Legende Culinary Festival will be present in 9 major cities in Indonesia from May 22 to December 1. This festival is organized by Jiiscomm, which is a culinary event organizer and F&B operator that focuses on authentic and legendary Indonesian cuisine.
The location and schedule for the 2024 Tjap Legende Culinary Festival are as follows:
1. Bandung – D’Botanica Mall (22 May-2 June 2024).
2. Semarang – BSB Uptown Mall (5-16 June 2024).
3. Solo – The Park Solo (19-30 June 2024).
4. Jogja – Sleman City Hall (3-14 July 2024).
5. Balikpapan – Pentacity Mall (24 July-4 August 2024).
6. Surabaya – Grand City Surabaya (21 August-1 September 2024).
7. Senayan – Senayan GBK East Parking (25 September-6 October 2024).
8. Bali – Discovery Mall Bali (30 October-10 November 2024).
9. Mataram – Lombok Epicentrum Mall (14 November-1 December 2024).
Febriyanto Rachmat, CEO of PT Samsaka Lestari Rasa who is also the founder of Jiiscomm, said that local culinary must continue to be preserved so that it does not become extinct due to the onslaught of menus from abroad.
“If we don’t start preserving local culinary delights, I’m sure that in the next 20 years Indonesian culinary delights could become extinct,” he said.
The Tjap Legende Culinary Festival Roadshow was held to open up opportunities for Indonesian culinary MSMEs throughout Indonesia, both those that are well-known (legend) and those that are not yet well-known (non-legend), so that they can improve the quality and make Indonesian culinary ‘class up’.
The Tjap Legende Culinary Festival involves legendary culinary tenants from various regions in Indonesia to introduce authentic Indonesian dishes to visitors to this event. They include Toko Oen 1930s, Gudeg Yu Djum 1950, Sate Buntel H. Bejo 1971, Bebek Sinjay 2003, Nasi Krawu Buk Tiban 1979, Ketan Susu Kemayoran 1958, Gudeg Mbah Prdojo 1960, Soto Ahri 1943, Mie Bandung Attorney 1964, Batagor Cuplis 1964, Mangut Manyung Bu Fat 1969, Nasi Pindang Kudus Gajahmada 1987, Soto Betawi H. Agus Barito 1961, Pusat Souvenir Bu Rudy 1995, Es Puter Conglik Kh. Ahmad Dahlan Semarang 1982, Iko Gantinyo Durian Ice 1986, Tak Kie Ice Coffee 1927, Nasi Liwet Wongso Lemu 1950, and Leker Gajahan.
Apart from that, this event will also feature various interesting activities such as cultural performances, brand activation, as well as 40-70 legendary and authentic culinary tenants.
“We will also invite visitors to participate in various interactive activities that educate about the richness of Indonesian culinary culture. The Tjap Legende Culinary Festival Roadshow is not only about food, but also to celebrate Indonesia’s cultural diversity and appreciate its rich culinary heritage,” said Febriyanto Rachmat.
