One of the typical recipes that is always present on the festive table is fish cooked by steaming.
This time the steamed fish is cooked by combining the savory taste of soy sauce, the aroma of ginger and the freshness of spring onions. The cooking process is simple, but the taste can enhance the Chinese New Year atmosphere at home.

Steamed fish ingredients:
- 1 whole snapper/carp/grouper (clean and leave whole)
- Salt to taste
- 3 large spring onions (sliced obliquely)
- 1 piece fresh ginger (peeled and chopped)
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon grapes (optional)
- Fresh coriander leaves, for garnish

How to make flush steamed fish:
1. Prepare a steamer pan and cook the water until it boils, then put the fish on a heatproof plate and coat the fish evenly with salt.
2. Put the plate containing the fish into the boiling steamer, then steam for about 15 to 20 minutes, or until the fish is cooked. Transfer the fish to a serving plate and sprinkle with spring onions and ginger.
3. Heat the oil in a small saucepan over medium heat until hot but not smoking, or about five minutes. Then carefully pour the hot oil over the fish sprinkled with spring onions and fish.
4. Mix the soy sauce and wine in a small bowl, then drizzle over the fish. Serve steamed fish sprinkled with coriander leaves while warm.
